Part 3: The Old Testament
Now we're ready for the adventure of seeing how this story unfolded over thousands of years as God makes himself known in the brokenness of the world. As we follow the story through the OId Testament we will see how people sometimes misunderstand God and what he wanted to do to redeem them to himself. Unlike most stories the main character, God, isn't the one growing up, it's his people who are growing to understand who he is and to look forward to a greater day of redemption than human effort could ever achieve.

- Session 22: The Collapse of the KingdomThe northern kingdom falls to Assyria, and the southern kingdom to Babylon as God continues to woo his people back inside a relationship with him. In captivity they learn that God is bigger than the rituals they've observed.
- Session 23: The Return to IsraelOver 106 years the exiles return from Babylon to rebuild the temple and their nation under some inspiring leaders as the prophets continue to call them closer to God and promise a day of greater redemption yet to come.
- Session 24: Let the Journey ContinueBy viewing all of Scripture as one continuous story culminating in the revelation of Jesus Christ we can continue to explore a cohesive view of God and live in the tension of not having all our questions answered but continuing to grow in truth.
