Bold Two Word title says horror to me. I wouldn’t pick it up. I dislike horror. The massive shaft of light looks like it’s coming from a UFO. The ladybug in winter is strange. Is this the alien visitor? They did a good job on transitioning the snow to black in the foreground. There is too much boasting on the covers. Its a definite turn-off.

Overall, I like the cover. I think the ladybug adds a hint of mystery which I think is good. Makes me wonder how the ladybug fits in with the story. The size of the shaft of light didn’t bother me. I thought of the resurrection when I saw it. Seeing an old shack with a shaft of light beaming down also adds a sense of mystery.
The only thing I didn’t like was the snow in the foreground. It seemed a little too perfect to me. In an obviously abandoned shack, I believe the snow would have been broken by trees and underbrush.
I’m a 60 year old woman who loves to read and this cover would make me curious enough to pick up the book and look through it to see if I’d want to read it.
I love it. Intrigue and mystery. I want to know what is in the shack, what is shining on the shack and more about the tag line on the back “Where tragedy confronts eternityâ€. I have hopes this book will extend some answers to a friend who has seen this kind of tragedy in his family. Can’t wait till it is out!
Wayne , We wonder about the use of the word “ostensibly” in the blurb. To our ears it implies something fake or not genuine. Would the word “apparently” be more appropriate?
