Wayne,
Thank you for spending the weekend with us. My family and I enjoyed our time with you on Sunday very much. We also enjoyed getting to know other brothers and sisters in the area who are on a similar journey.

The thing that became the most clear to me over the weekend was that God does not expect me to get it right. Performance is a trap that God does not intend us to fall for. Yet, everything I have been doing up to this point is performance-based. Anyway, I wrote out my thoughts a little more on my blog if you care to read them. www.brentdavis.blogspot.com

Blessings to you and your family. I hope our paths will cross again sometime this side of heaven.

Your Brother,
Brent

Wayne, I greatly enjoyed meeting with you and Kent and the "freedom support group" in Springfield. I posted some notes from the trip on my blog last night. God showed me so much inside and outside our discussions. I didn't know what to expect, traveling in hazardous weather to gather with people I had never met in person before, but God greatly exceeded my expectations. I'm thinking about getting back to visit the group in 2007, when the weather improves.

I sensed God showing me that it's time for me to let go of the dock and start out on a journey in the kayak, even though I don't know what it's like to be in a kayak. Yes, I still remember that God's got more windows than I've got baseballs.

Wayne,

Thanks for coming! Father showed Sherry and I some extremely revealing things Saturday night as we sat in the back in the shadows. Know that He used you to live out and model a wonderful example of wisdom and caring.

Keep the Son in your eyes,
Barry

Thanks for the reminder why we no longer live in Montana. LOL.

And Wayne---if you ever get stranded in Nashville---The lights and coffee are always on in our home.

Two years ago in Portland, OR we had an ice storm just like that---3-4 inches of ice on everything, including the roadways. It simplifies life greatly since there isn't a lot to be done except go to work, come home, eat , sleep, and try again tomorrow. Fewer meetings and events since no one can get around easily. I wouldn't want to live with ice everyday but for a short period of time, it was easy to see what the important things were.

Wayne – thanks again for coming – we all had a great time and God really did some cool things. You are a blessing!

Looking forward to seeing you again some day – I still owe you a trip to Lamberts.
