Those Brothers and Sisters in Ladysmith

Have I got a story for you!

For those of you who haven’t visited our sister website at The God Journey and listen in to one of our podcasts, now is an excellent time to check it out. If you have been a regular, you won’t want to miss this one. This is one of the most compelling stories I’ve run into on this journey.

Meet Stefan Vosloo and through him some wonderful brothers and sisters in South Africa. He was a pastor of a growing Vineyard church in Ladysmith before the hunger of that congregation for real relationship with God sent them on an amazing journey. God began to touch five things in their life together to move them from an old covenant religion to New Testament reality: priest, Sabbath, temple, sacrifice and tithing. His work in them and their response to him forever changed their life together. Wayne shares with Brad an interview he did with Stefan during his trip to South Africa last month. I am from the church at Ladysmith, and it was so great just listening to the interview and remembering what we all went through. How much fun and scary it was to find God for ourselves, to be part of the adventure that God had planned for us and not find him through Stephan, you see he was a fantastic teacher and mentor and it was easier to seek his wisdom instead of seeking Gods. To listen to the interview and to remember the things he spoke to you about and remembering the events was so great for me, as I was listening I was so grateful to God for leading us to know him more and hear his voice and follow him for ourselves and not for and because of Stephan. I am so grateful that I was part of this move of God, to know Him and be Satisfied in Him and Him alone.

Wow Weee! Praise the Lord! What a miraculous story!! Thank you Stefan for sharing part of your journey with us, what an encouragement!

This is big! This is really big! Jesus is calling His Bride and you are responding to his call!

I live in Canada and have only just begun my journey to find the "Big Sea" and God has been so faithful to me! He daily points in the direction that He is taking me. I am amazed and in awe of His great expansive love for us! I am blown away how He is speaking the same "coming out" message around the world. Through this web site He has really opened up a broader church family that I have been so blessed by!

An awesome testimony of God calling people to Himself without all the things we were made to think we needed. Very exciting indeed.

Stephan is a very unusual man to give up all the security of the more traditonal way to follow and obey God in such a radical departure from the norm.

God really is a Fisherman who practices catch and release. He catches us out of the stormy sea of religious confusion, obligation and distraction in order to gently place us in a much more frendly sea of His total acceptance of us freeing us to enjoy life with Him with no fear and total confidence in His ability to always keep us. Maybe that is the crystal sea….no upheavels or storms just quiet rest as we live in the benefits of this wonderful gospel of grace and peace.
